Something to help with the terms and lingo that emerge in the collapse. New waves of thought, new concepts, new genders... the end of the world as we know it has a way of influencing language.

Gargoyles are defined by their relationship with the apocalypse, namely that they answer it with resilience and violence. A gargoyle will not be fucked with, nor allow those under their care to be fucked with. The terms used to describe those they protect are variable, and include: clan; kin; tribe; people; flock; pack.
The main gender markers of a gargoyle is a constantly-present threat of some kind. Gargoyles often pierce their skin with sharp ornaments, adorn their clothing with spikes, attach needles and piano-wire to their outerware, and otherwise augment, modify, and alter their bodies and clothes in ways that facilitate and promise violence.
The mistreatment of gargoyles is refered to as gulaphobia, and usually involves rhetoric depicting them as brutes and killers.
A school of thought that emerged in response to the rise of scarcity and breaking down of the global order. "Endthought" is codified and shared mostly in thin, self-bound volumes, and mass-produced zines.
While endthought is complex and diverse, it generally revolves around the idea that capitalism has reached the end of its life, and that any new society must account for the fact that private property and profit-motives have now become active existential threats.
Endthinkers are usually hostile towards old-world thought and constructs, advocating for a full break from history and the establishing of a culture free from all old oppressions. Gender, sexuality, art, religion, economics, politics, philosophy - some endthinker has devised the foundations of a radically new approach to any and every thing.

Ravens are defined by their relationship with the apocalypse, namely that they respond to it with cleverness and cunning. Ravens choose to avoid problems and conflicts, resolving them peacefully if possible and circumventing them entirely otherwise. A raven may respond to conflict with humor, diplomacy, apathy, or avoidance; the key is that they won't fight back directly.
Unlike gargoyles, ravens don't have a social circle implied with their gender, but those that do attach themselves to a community often bond well with gargoyles that have also adopted the group.
The gender markers associated with ravens includes feathered adornments on their clothing and a wide variety of pockets and bags carrying all kinds of tools, materials, and goods. A stereotype of ravens often depicts them as hoarders.
Mistreatment of ravens is known as corviphobia, and usually involves depicting them as cowards, idiots, and thieves.
